Description

SuiteMate Staffing Solutions is seeking a Front/Back Office Medical Assistant to assist with job duties focused on administrative or clerical tasks that are more medical in nature. Their role is to primarily support the administrative side of a medical office and may be involved in some medical procedures.

General Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Patient initial visit workups and counseling
  • Phone triage: accepts/makes phone calls regarding lab results, patient medication, treatment plans, and other general questions
  • Work up- and call patients based on protocols and doctor orders
  • Proper documentation of patient charts and flow sheets
  • In-office surgical procedures involving anesthesia
  • Commuting to other locations
  • Manage all claims 
  • Answer high volume inbound and outbound calls
  • Follow all state and federal collections and HIPAA laws
  • Billing/collection processing 
  • Excellent analytical and research skills
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention-to-detail and follow-through, excellent verbal, and written communication skills
  • The ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • The ability to adapt and prioritize duties and manage multiple responsibilities in response to the demands of the day-to-day activities of the department
  • Reconcile billing
  • Accurately and efficiently post payments
  • Assist clients with account inquiries
  • Maintain the integrity of client records and confidential information
  • Knowledge of managed care plans, insurance, medical terminology
  • Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the department
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Experience/Knowledge
  • Must have excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service and phone skills
  • Must have a mature mindset;
  • Independent judgment, as well as the ability to work closely with team members, is a must;
  • Applicants must have excellent interpersonal skills; capable of multi-tasking and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Technologically savvy: computer and telephone skills required
  • Bilingual is a Preferred
